At Gemsquar, the safety of your jewelry is our top priority. That's why we offer comprehensive insurance coverage for all jewelry and accessories consigned to us.
From the time your jewelry is handed over until it is sold or returned, it is fully protected by our insurance for its replacement value. You can rest assured that your jewelry is safe under our responsibility.
However, it is important to note that our insurance coverage does not apply to jewelry considered to be counterfeit. In addition, in the absence of the original invoice, our insurance coverage will take into account the replacement value of your jewelry.
We take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of your jewelry throughout its stay with Gemsquar. You can have complete peace of mind by consigning your jewelry to us
- Do I have to pay taxes on my online purchases at Gemsquar?
Items purchased on Gemsquar and shipped from Switzerland are automatically subject to Swiss VAT of 8.1%.
However, please note that for purchases made from one country to another, local taxes may apply and are not included in the sale price. We recommend that you consult the tax policies of the customs services of your country of residence or destination.
Gemsquar and the sellers on our platform assume no responsibility for import taxes imposed by your country. As the buyer, it is your responsibility to pay any import taxes in your country of residence or destination.

- Does my jewelry purchased on Gemsquare come with a guarantee?
Each seller on our platform, whether a Trusted Seller or a Private Seller, has the freedom to decide whether or not they offer a guarantee for their jewelry. We recommend that you consult the conditions of sale of each seller to find out the guarantees applicable to the item you wish to purchase.
Trusted Sellers on Gemsquar meet the following criteria:
- Provide a certificate from their company or an independent laboratory for each item sold,
- Provide a clear and precise description of each item presented in their micro-store on Gemsquar,
- Authorize returns of orders within 3 days after receipt by the customer,
- Provide assistance and information to customers regarding jewelry available in their micro-store on Gemsquar,
- Accept all payment methods offered by Gemsquare,
- Establish clear, concise and understandable conditions of sale for everyone.
Private Sellers on Gemsquar meet the following criteria:
- Send the items to Gemsquar for authentication and listing on our online marketplace,
- Accept the consignment, sale price and conditions of sale established by Gemsquar.
